On November 20th, 2019 four-year-old Syrian hamster Craig Melo crossed over the rainbow bridge. Craig was adopted in Dartmouth, Massachusetts by his pet parents Ashley Melo and Andrew Paiva of New Bedford, Massachusetts. Craig loved to spend time running on his favorite wheel, eating treats, trying to escape his cage and especially loved to be held. His favorite toys were his wooden chew blocks, his hamster wheel, and his water bottle. Craig didnt much like when he wasnt given treats, he would wait and stare until his mom would give him one. His favorite place to sleep was in his wooden house and loved to enjoy his favorite food grapes or any fruit when ever he had the chance. Some favorite memories Craig and his family shared include being held and played with, licking moms fingers when being held, and seeing him run out of his house when mom would put new food in his bowl. Craig was a wonderful pet who was loved by his family very much. He will be dearly missed.
