On January 4th, 2023, beloved 16-year-old, Staffordshire Bull Terrier, Mya Walmsley aka “Mya-Mya Papaya, Princess and Mama Girl” crossed Rainbow Bridge. Mya was born on December 1st, 2008, in Canterbury, Connecticut. Mya is survived by her son Buddy, daughter Sophie, “pet parents” Chad Walmsley and Stephanie Armstrong, human sister Jaidyn Armstrong, human brother Jayce Walmsley. Mya’s best friend was her sister Jaidyn Armstrong. Her favorite toy was her rope pull. She loved car rides, laying in the sun on the deck and chasing cats. She disliked rain, snow, and anything cold or wet. Her favorite places to sleep were in any bed or couch under a blanket or next to the wood stove. Mya’s favorite food was human food. Steak, chicken, pie, potatoes, anything but vegetables. Mya provided and shared many loving memories with her family. Some of their favorites include: Mya laying with Jaidyn next to the wood stove, bribing her to give kisses, dad Chad snuggling with Mya on the couch, taking her on car rides and watching how excited she would be, having her follow them around no matter how far or short they were going, watching her curl up in the food bowl so she didn’t have to lay on the ground, and watching her give birth to her puppies. She was such a good mama. Mya is and forever will be loved.
