Obituary For Remi Wyrostek

Pet’s Name: Remi Breed: Long Haired Akita Birthdate: 04/12/09 Date of Passing: 10/21/21 Location of Birth: Nakodo Akitas, Northampton, MA Pet’s Parents: Jeff and Linda Wyrostek

Today we had to say good bye to our best friend and family member - our sweet 4-legged fur-baby, Remi. For us, to plainly put it, he was our 90lb baby and our home and hearts are broken without him. Remi was such a handsome boy who was a “love" and protective of his family. A die hard Patriots fan, he loved carrying around his football in his mouth until he needed help getting it out and always looked at you as if he was smiling. He enjoyed long walks with Mommy and Daddy (which gave him a chance to visit his girlfriend down the street), chasing rabbits in the yard and staring down the deer and turkeys from his bedroom window because they were walking on “Daddy’s" lawn. He loved the snow almost as much as he loved roast beef! - and he also loved ice water and having an occasional sip of beer with his Daddy in the summer because he was the “Prince".

Remi had such a great personality as he was known for being playful and mischievous. Some of his famous attributes entailed stealing “Mama’s” slippers while galloping through the house and jumping on the bed after she just ironed clothes, playing with his squeaky toys when we were trying to sleep, running with the garden hose at “Grandma's" house while tearing up her lawn and “goosing” his "Auntie Tracy” while practically knocking her down.

He was also the sweetest boy that anyone could ever ask for who would tell us each night when it was time for bed, cuddle in between us even though he could barely fit, nudge us when it was time to wake up; nurse us when we were sick, be our loyal companion when we were sad, our referee when we argued and (his favorite) volunteer to be the official "taste tester" when it was time to cook dinner.

He was loved by all of our family members including his "Grandma and Grand-Pops Shippee" who snuck him cookies (when they shouldn’t have) and brought him new toys from Maine; his "Uncle Stan" and "Cousin Christopher” who he would leap and go crazy over every time he saw them; his “Vavo” and “Tia” who would send him holiday cards with his name and address through the US Postal Mail; and last but certainly not least, his 4-legged cousins, Craig, Bear and, the infamous, Bentley (who he still believes took a chunk of his fur when no one was looking).

"Everyone is taught that an angel has wings, the lucky ones of us find that they have four paws” - Jury Nel

We love you, Remi, from the bottom of our hearts and know that we miss you so much. Our home is lost without you and hope that you continue to smile over us while you run and play.

Love, Mommy and Daddy xo

Dear Linda & Jeff I am sorry for losing your beloved Remi.. I know how much you both loved & adored your big furbaby. It's never easy to have to let them go. However you both did right by him. My memory I would love to share is the day I met him as a big furball, he was about 7 months old & I was going into LeSoleil to see Sandra. Well as Linda Lou knows I love furbabies! Well while everyone was intimated by this beautiful big fluff ball, I got down on my hands and knees to give him some snuggles & kisses. Linda was like "Wow he doesn't allow anyone to usually do that as he was very protective of his Mama. Linda asked me if I'd be willing to puppy sit for him when needed. Without a thought I said yes! I just remember those big eyes and furry bear paws🐾 . I fell in love with him. He let me rub his belly and ears & that big noggin. I know you both already know how much you love him & did everything for him. He couldn't have better parents!! I want you both to know how Remi with out a doubt knew he had the best life any furbaby could ask for. My heart breaks for both of you!! Just remember love never dies 💜. Remi will always be with you both. Sending you both hugs & lots of love. I totally understand the pain your enduring it's never easy to let go of our loving unconditional love our furbabies give us. Until you both meet him again just over Rainbow 🌈 Bridge. Love Eunice aka Peaunie... xoxo
