Abigail Mary was 5 weeks old when a dear relative rescued her from a potential abandonment situation. She called us saying that this little kitten needed a home and didn’t know where to bring her. We picked her up with every intention of fostering. After a visit to the vet, and got her healthy, we could not bear to part with her after all she had been through. Her mom and siblings were all given away, and little Abby was left without a family. We chose February 21st as her date of birth in 2006. Her place of birth was in Wollaston, Massachusetts.

Abby’s body fulfilled its mission on earth on February 7, 2022, in the comfort of her bed surrounded by love. She lived 16 wonderful years in Norton, Massachusetts with her humans, Matt, Brenda and their daughter, Ava. Her pet siblings are two eclectic Chihuahuas rescued from Indio, California named Skittles and Clarice. Skittles and Ava are the two she loved most in this world - even though she loved everyone. Her favorite things were talk-yelling at birds, moving wherever the sun went, staring out of the bay window, and grooming Skittles. As kind and loving as she was, she never let the dogs forget she was the real boss. Abby had magic, kindness, and never did a bad thing in her entire life. Never bougie, she preferred just simple Purina Cat Chow, the feather duster, the sun, and her catnip mouse toy.

Abby’s favorite place to be - the top of Ava’s pillow, which she occupied every evening for the past 13 years guarding her as she slept.

Now that she has crossed the Rainbow Bridge, waiting to greet her are the wonderful rescue cat siblings she grew up with over the many years and have since passed on: Mary Elizabeth (Gloves), Steven Andrew (Stevie), Davey Love Button (UFO Dave), Samwise Peepers (Sammy), Harrison Michael (Plush), Emmy (Midnight Madness), Sir Benjamin Charles (Elegant Ben), and her cousin, Albert (Little Old Man) from New Bedford.

We miss you, Abby. Your grandparents are heartbroken too. There is never a moment when we don’t think about you and all the joy you have brought us. Rest in peace, precious one.
