An unforgettable friend
Cremation Services If you’re anything like us, you don’t consider yourself an “owner” of your pet, any more than you think you own the people in your life. You are so much more to your pet; an important member of their life. And they trust you to make the big, hard decisions which need to be made on their behalf. One of those decisions involves choosing the way you will care for their physical remains upon their passing. While it may feel natural to bury a pet in your backyard or other private property, there are often local regulations which restrict this option. For many families, there is only one choice open to them: pet cremation. Whether because of county or city ordinances, or personal preference; cremation meets a growing community need for appropriate final care for their pets.
The process of pet cremation uses heat to transform your pet’s physical remains to its basic elements. Sometimes these are referred to as “ashes”, or “cremains” –a word blended from “cremated remains”. Basically, we offer two types of pet cremation services. Communal cremation, where your pet is cremated along with a number of other animals, and private cremation, where your beloved animal companion is alone in the cremation chamber.
Private cremation is the right option if you wish to have your pet’s cremated remains returned to you. This allows you to take some time to consider how you would like to memorialize your pet. Perhaps you’d like to keep your pet’s ashes close to you, in a decorative or personalized urn. Or you may choose to scatter them somewhere of importance to you and your pet. You may also choose to let our staff scatter their ashes in a dedicated memorial area.
Communal cremation is a dignified way to care for your pet, especially appropriate if your family prefers not to receive your pet’s cremated remains back. In this process, several pets are cremated together and the resulting cremated remains are scattered, or buried by staff members. Please contact us for pricing.
Families choosing private cremation may also wish to witness the event, with a viewing cremation. This is when pet parent, friends and family are permitted to be present during the cremation in a viewing room.

Create a Memorial to Your Pet
A long-standing tradition when grieving the loss of a human member of the community; a memorial to your pet–whether placed in a public setting such as at a dog park or dedicated pet cemetery, or in your garden at home–acts as a focal point for both grieving and tribute. Just as every pet is different, every family is different. Yet, the love we have for our pets is universal.
Today, the memorialized expression of this deep affection is growing more common throughout North America. Chances are good that you and your family are currently thinking of designing and placing a memorial to your cherished pet. But where do you begin? You begin by thinking with your heart, not just your head. What Makes a Pet Memorial? We think it’s the love you shared, which becomes infused into the memorial garden stone, personalized cremation urn, pet headstone or grave marker you’ve selected.
