Obituary For Angel Bourgault

Angel was a beloved 16-year-old Miniature Pinscher/Rat Terrier mix who was born in Pawtucket, Rhode Island in November 2010. For 16 wonderful years, she filled the lives of her family with love, laughter, companionship and countless memories that will be treasured forever.

Known affectionately by her family as “Mama” and “Rump Roast." She was the beloved companion of Susan and Ronald Bourgault, and shared her life with her siblings, Pawhead, Loki, Buddy, Tigger, Omar, Sally, Steve and Savannah. She was also a special friend to Aiden, Ava, Austin, Lucas, Peyton, Addison, Lina, Aidrek and Dylan.

When Angel was younger, she loved going for walks and finding a sunny spot where she could stretch out and soak up the warmth. One of her favorite games involved her favorite rope. Her family would count to three, and when they said "three," Angel would run, jump up and catch the rope before proudly bringing it back. Of course, she wasn't finished yet - she would insist on a good game of tug-of-war before finally surrendering the prize.

Angel was not a fan of baths or rainy days, but she absolutely loved being cozy. Her favorite place to sleep was right in bed with her humans. She even had her very own pillow nestled between theirs.

Her favorite food was ice cream, but Angel had a particular fondness for carrots and cucumbers. When Angel was about six months old, Susan was making dinner and preparing a salad. Angel sat nearby, looking up at her. When Susan asked what was wrong, Angel jumped up and looked at her, whining. Susan leaned over and gave a piece of cucumber. Angel ate it immediately and begged for more. So Susan gave her a baby carrot to try - and Angel devoured that too. Susan soon found herself buying big bags of baby carrots, her special “good girl” treats just to make sure there were always plenty in the refrigerator.

Angel had a way of turning ordinary moments into memories that would last a lifetime.

Angel was a certified faithful emotional support dog. And she showed support throughout her life and helped us deal with the loss of our parents and other close friends and pets we lost along the way she let us cry on her and hold her tight during our grief many times throughout her 16 years with us.

Rest peacefully, sweet Angel. You were loved every day of your 16 years, and you will be loved for all the years to come. Your place in your family's hearts will forever be yours, and the memories you gave them will never fade.
