Obituary For Deen Travers
On January 27, 2025 Deen Travers passed suddenly. He went to be with the Lord, and his dog-brother Bruschi. He was just 14 and a half years old.
Deen was born on September 30th 2010, in Coventry, RI. He was adopted by his human Alissa (Norfolk) Travers in April 2011. He was a pup who loved to frolick, sleep, and occasionally get the zoomies. He was a faithful friend who was always by Alissa’s side. He made a great study partner when Alissa was in college. Wherever Alissa went, Deen was with her, always with one ear up.
In October 2012, he met his would be human-dad Matthew. Together they napped, did work outside, or supervised the grill. They were two peas in a pod. In August 2016 Deen was a part of the wedding ceremony of Alissa and Matt. His new collar had his new last name, and their family began. Shortly thereafter, they welcomed Oliver Travers born in 2017. Another human Simon joined the family in 2020. Deen was an amazing big brother, who loved to test out the bouncy chairs and high chairs as they were bought. Deen also was the test human for diapers, and size 2 Luv’s fit him the best. They loved camping, the beach, and hiking in the woods.
It wasn’t until later that Deen became attached to his brothers. When the boys would play outside, and Deen would be right there napping in the grass. Occasionally, Deen would supervise potty time, by popping his head thru the crack in the door, then walking away leaving the door open. Through his old age Deen remained a loving, quiet pup. He never whined, or growled; he barely barked! His favorite past-time is getting through his human Grandmother Lori’s fence, despite six hours of fixing the fence to keep him in. He loved sleeping around Dad’s head at night, napping on his human-papa’s lap on the couch, or sitting on Aunty Sandy’s lap in Gloucester, MA every summer. His absence is definitely noted, and our lives will never been the same.
Although Deen was a loving pup who was an accessory to anyone’s lap, he will be missed by all who knew him. Deenie, Deen-o-, Deen-o-weeno, Deeneth, we will forever love you and miss you. Thank you for a wonderful, beautiful, fantastic life for 14 and a half short years.
In memory of one of the dearest dogs who ever lived, a random act of Kindness is requested. Donations may also be made in Deen’s name to Potter League for Animals.

Seen was a good dog. I smile when I remember all the times he would escape through the fence and wonder over to the Vecoli yard and our Pearl would play with him. Pearl also passed in2024 and the loss of our four legged fur babies is so difficult. Hoping you can enjoy the good memories of Deen's life and know how blessed we are to have time with God's little ones🙏🏻🐶
