In Loving Memory of Dhalia, A 9 year old Yorkshire Terrier born in Orlando, Florida on July 16, 2017 and crossed the Rainbow Bridge on August 5, 2026.

There are some dogs who are small in stature but enormous in heart, and Dhalia was exactly that kind of girl. A beautiful Yorkie with the spirit of a Rottweiler, Dhalia was fiercely loyal, protective and completely devoted to her daddy, James Mendez.

From the moment she came into James' life, Dhalia made it very clear that he belonged to her - and she was going to make sure everyone knew it. She was his little protector, his constant companion and his devoted shadow. Whether James was relaxing in bed or peacefully sleeping, Dhalia took her job very seriously. NO ONE was allowed to touch her daddy, come near him or disturb them while they were cuddled together.

Dhalia shared her life with her beloved siblings Lavender Rose, a Poodle; Shayla, her human sister; Chance and Lichi. Her best friends included her daddy, Rupert, Chance, Lavender Rose and Lichi. Together, they were her family, her pack and the center of her world.

Dhalia loved car rides, cuddling in bed and being nosy about absolutely everything. Her favorite toy was her beloved stuffed lobster, although she was also quite fond of taking anything she could get her paws on from Lavender Rose.

Her favorite food was simple: anything that was given to her! Dhalia was not about to turn down a good snack!

Her favorite place was nestled safely in her owner's arms, where she could be close to the person she loved most.

Dhalia's greatest gift is the way she protected her owner.
