Obituary For Divi Wood

Divi, a spirited 10 year-old Cunucu (Aruban Island mix) dog whose joyful personality and endless appreciation for life touched everyone who knew her.

Divi was adopted in Aruba on September 22, 2022 by her devoted mama, Alison Wood. From the moment she joined her family, she made it clear she was home. She quickly became a beloved sister to Lilly and Duke, her four legged siblings, filling the house with mischief, laughter, and unconditional love.

Affectionately known by many nicknames - including Div, Dee, Mama Dee, D bean and Dibby. She adored her toys, especially her porcupine, her big Lamby and tennis balls, and she took great pride in beating Duke to the stuffed animals. Her greatest joys were going for rides, eating (anything and everything), and curling up in her mama's bed at the end of the day. Her favorite treats included bacon, pup cups, vanilla ice cream, chicken, chicken nuggies and bone marrow bones. Divi strongly disliked having her paws touched, chin scratches and visits to the vet.

While Divi waited to be rescued, her future parents would bring her food every day. That kindness changed her life and she spent the rest of it showing gratitude in the form of tail wags, bright smiles and a spirit delighted in even the smallest pleasures.

Divi loved nightly zoomies, trips to the beach, nipping at Lilly when she swam back to shore and attempting to investigate - or eat- the occasional dead fish on the beach. She loved simply being there, soaking up the moment with the biggest smile, happy and thankful for absolutely for everything.

Divi leaves behind her loving mama Alison, her siblings Lilly and Duke. She also leaves behind the many people who met and loved her including Elise, Etta who would dress her up on the daily, and Parker who begrudgingly dealt with her getting into his space and his passenger seat as often as possible.
