On August 28th, 2023, beloved pet and family member, 13-year-old, Shih Tzu, Jake Oliveira aka “Fatty, Pork Chop” crossed Rainbow Bridge. Jake was adopted in Fall River, Massachusetts by “pet parents” Amanda Oliveira and Mario Oliveira Jr. Besides his parents, Jake is survived by his siblings Moose and Oreo. His best friend was his mommy, Amanda. Jake’s favorite toys were his stuffed squirrels. His favorite thing to do was sit by the fire pit while he ate. His least favorite thing was having to get his nails clipped. Jake’s favorite place to sleep was next to mommy. His favorite foods consisted of canned pumpkin, popcorn, ice cream, sweet potato, eggs, and mommy treats.

Words from Mom Amanda- “Jake was a rescue dog at 3 years old. He was very feisty when I got him. He didn’t like my husband. It took time and then he loved my husband. I took him to get a blue mohawk. He loved Christmas. I loved him so much. He was so good when I had my foster girls. He saved me because he was all I had when my girls got taken from us to bo back to their families. He gave me purpose. He loved me unconditionally and was always there. Now we are broken lost without our Jake. I would give the world to have him back. My heart is shattered. If in heaven or over the rainbow, love matters. Please know he was definitely loved. Rest easy Jake till we meet again. I love you always and 4 ever. “
