Leo, a beloved long-haired domestic cat, passed away peacefully on February 21, 2026, at the remarkable age of 18. For nearly two decades, Leo filled the lives of those around him with quiet companionship, gentle affection, and the comforting presence only a beloved cat can provide.

Known affectionately as “Leo Lee," a nickname lovingly used by his owner's brother-in-law and sister, Leo lived a life surrounded by many people who cared deeply for him. He was cherished by his devoted pet parents Julie Finch, Sheila Bouchard, and Chris Finch, and was originally welcomed into the world by his first owner, Andrew Seidel.

Leo is survived by his feline siblings, Oreo, Mo and Oki, who shared their home with him over the years.

Unlike many cats, Leo was never particularly interested in playing. Instead, he perfected the art of relaxation. His favorite activities included sleeping, being petted and spending peaceful time outdoors. His least favorite pastime was interaction with other cats- Leo preferred the calm company of his favorite humans. Leo's favorite sleeping spots included a cozy tent his owner had bought for the cats and a futon, where he could curl up and nap. When it came to food, Leo was uncomplicated-anything offered to him was happily accepted.

Some of the most cherished memories of Leo are the quiet ones: resting on his owner, soaking up affection and enjoying the simple joy of being outside. These moments captured Leo's gentle spirit and the warmth he brought into everyday life.

Though Leo lived a calm life, the love he shared left a lasting imprint on those who knew him. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered for the comfort, companionship and quiet happiness he gave so freely.
