We met Lovie on a school trip to the local pound. Before we went, I told Evan that we were not coming home with any new pets. While Evan was sitting outside, the cat cages lovey kept sticking his paw gently out between the bars and tapping Evan on the shoulder. It was the cutest thing I had ever seen. We took Levi out of the kennel, and he absolutely adored Evan. The next day I went back and brought Lovie to join our family. From day one at our home he was by far the best cat I had ever seen. He interacted with the dogs as if he were one of them and he followed Emily, who is only three at the time around the house like a little puppy . We were sad to not take him to Florida with us, but his health had declined and I really believe the trip would be too much. He then became the school mascot at 911 programs until he made his final home with my sister-in-law Maria because of her , tremendous love and caring, loving made 22 years! He was a great companion to all of us and his memory will be with us forever. Rest in peace, my sweet Livie! Thank you for allowing us to be your family! Love, mama Val
