On December 5th, 2023, I, 14 ½ year old, domestic short-haired black cat, Maxie Pellegrino aka “Maxie-Cat, Babygirl, Princess, Brat, Maxiegirl, Little Lady, Halloween Kitty” crossed Rainbow Bridge. On April 20th, 2009, I was born and raised in Rhode Island. I am survived by my “pet mom” Sydney Pellegrino and my cat brother, of the same litter, Toby Pellegrino. Though I hate to admit it, Toby was also one of my best friends along with Lexi Pellegrino and Lauren Pellegrino. My favorite toys were hair ties and string. My favorite activities in order were sunbathing on mom Sydney’s bed, chewing plastic, killing bugs, mice, etc.; asking for attention, just to pretend that I hated it, and exploring the backyard. My least favorite things were being pet in the wrong direction” against the grain”, my brother Toby during mealtime, being awoken in a slumber and being made to wear costumes and clothes. Yuck!! My two favorite places to sleep were in my mom’s bed and in my cat tree hut. My two favorite foods were McDonald’s ice cream and marshmallows. Yum!! I was able to share many memories with my mom. One of her favorites, my brother Toby and I screaming at her while leading her to the food bowl. For every day, every year, every memory and all the love, I thank you and love you forever mom Sydney.
