It is with heavy hearts that we remember and celebrate the life of McHale, a beloved Labrador whose gentle spirit, loving heart, and unforgettable personality touched the lives of everyone around him.

McHale was deeply loved by his pet parents, Jan and Scott Little, and shared his life with his beloved family, including his human and canine companions. His best friend, Shawn, held a very special place in his heart.

Some of McHale's happiest days were spent simply being with the people and animals he loved. In his younger years, he loved playing catch, and he could often be found enjoying one of his favorite toys—tennis balls. He also loved riding in the car and being part of whatever adventure his family was taking.

McHale had a particular love for the simple pleasures in life. He enjoyed cheese, ice cream, cucumbers, blueberries, tomatoes fresh off the vine, and special snacks from Grammy and Nana. And when it was time to rest, one of his favorite places was outside under the stars, where he could simply relax and enjoy the world around him.

One of the most treasured memories of McHale was watching him and Shawn grow up together. McHale was incredibly gentle with Shawn and always seemed to understand that his friend needed a little extra love. He would patiently let Shawn lay or sit on him, a beautiful example of the quiet love and companionship McHale gave so freely.

McHale also had a special talent for knowing exactly when the tomatoes in the garden were ready. He loved fresh tomatoes, and he knew just when they were ripe—often picking them right off the vine himself. It was one of those little quirks that made McHale uniquely McHale and created memories his family will carry with them forever.

For 14 wonderful years, McHale filled his family's lives with companionship, laughter, tenderness, and unconditional love. Though his paws have now left this earth, the memories of his gentle nature, his favorite treats, his tennis balls, car rides, evenings beneath the stars, and especially the love he shared with Shawn will remain forever.

Run free, sweet McHale.
May you once again chase your tennis balls, wander beneath the stars, and enjoy all the fresh tomatoes your heart desires.
