On February 14, 2012 we heard a small squeak on our back sliding door. When we looked out the door there was a small, underfed, and very cold striped cat pawing at our door. It was a very cold day. We brought her in and gave her some food. We brought her to the vet, she had no chip. The vet checked her out, said that she was between 1 and 3 years old and had no claws on her front or back paws. She joined our family and we named her Minnie… “she chose us”. A very quiet but loving cat; she never saw a box she wouldn’t sit in, was the only one of our 3 cats that was not afraid of our dog Dola. She loved her water, her “cat treats”, and playing with Tigger and Ruby. She sat with us every night until she went to sleep in “her basket”. On Sunday she left us and though we are sad, we are glad she chose us to spend the last 10 years of her life. We miss you Minnie.
