Obituary For Octavio Carsone

Octavio the “Gentleman Puggle“ crossed the Rainbow Bridge on July 25, 2025. He will be terribly missed by his parents and best friends Amanda and Nick Carsone. He gave unconditional love and joy to his parents for 13 wonderful years.

At just 8 weeks old he began his journey into becoming the force of nature he grew into. His quick ability to learn new commands and skills was not only impressive but rewarding to witness.

At 3 months he began getting acclimated to Stand Up Paddleboarding, a favorite pastime he would continue with his mom for many years. He grew into become a seasoned Puggle Paddleboarder and caught the attention of anyone nearby.

He was inquisitive by nature and loved being by his father’s side during home improvement projects.

Having such a big name, he was most commonly referred to as Ottie. Other adaptations of his name included Octavio Destructo, Pal, Mutley, Bubbas, Baby Boy, Handsome, Boobaa. Little Papa and Old Man River became his monikers in his senior years.

Throughout his life he battled many medical obstacles. Some which were easily treated while others put him on the map of medical mysteries. His determination and will to live kept his tail wagging through those trying times.

Octavio had many favorite pastimes and was always up for adventure. He loved hiking, car rides, camping and hanging at the beach or pool. Some of his favorite toys were bones and bully sticks which he loved to gnaw, bury and hide.

Some of Octavio’s least favorite things were being left at home alone, having his eyes cleaned, and most of all having his feet touched.

Octavio's favorite place to sleep was on or with Momma or on Momma's chair. His favorite foods included basically anything; but, especially cheese, Skyr yogurt and chewable Nyla bones.

He will be deeply missed and will be forever in the hearts of Amanda and Nick and all that knew and loved him.
