On November 28th, 2019 six-year-old American short hair tuxedo cat Oreo Burgess crossed over the rainbow bridge. Oreo was adopted in East Providence, Rhode Island in January of 2015 by his owners John Francis and Robin Lynn Burgess. Oreos nickname given to him by his family was Oreo Baby. He leaves behind a pet sibling Lettie, a black and white short hair cat. Oreo's best friends were John, Robin, Lettie and Stephanie Oreos cat sitter. His favorite activity was sleeping and eating as well as playing with boxes. He loved to climb in and shred the box apart. Oreo didnt much like when his sibling Lettie would bother him when he tried to sleep. He did however love to take naps at the end of the people bed when he could. Oreo loved to snack on Meat Treats such as small bits of turkey and ham. Some special memories Oreo and his family shared include helping his daddy John feed the squirrels and birds, waiting patiently for meat treats, getting kisses on the head, waiting expectantly to be greeted and kissed whenever Dad and Mom returned home, and lying on his back to have his snow white tummy petted. Oreo was a loving pet who brought joy to his family. His memory will be forever held with love. A message from John and Robin, Oreo's pet parents: Oreo courageously decided to take a chance on love and became a house cat after living as an outdoor orphan. He is a very bright star in heaven we look forward to kissing on the head again someday."
