Words from “Pet mom” Jennifer M. Pacheco: On August 16th, 2022, I had to say my final goodbye to my precious, miniature Maine Coone, Potato, aka “Fluffy Potato, My Girl, My Diva.” She chose and adopted us in 2018. She would walk up to me in our driveway everyday after work and roll onto her back, for me to rub her belly. She did this for a couple of months, until one day we opened the door to our home for her and she never left. Besides I, “pet mom” Jennifer M. Pacheco, Potato is survived by human brothers Mason Howard and Jose Campinha, cat brothers, Onyx Pia, Kittie Pipsqueak, Lion-O Mittens, and Pepe Stash. She was our diva. You could only pet and hold her on her terms. If not, she would swat at you with her little paw and annoyed meow. That was for her cat brothers too. She disliked when Lion-O or Pepe would chase her to play. She would let out a such a screech if they would dare to come near her. She loved catnip and rolling around in it, as well as Temptation treats and the occasional bowl of milk. Her favorite place to sleep was in brother Mason’s bedroom closet. When not in there, she enjoyed looking out the window and occasionally going outside and chew on grass. I do and will miss my girl very much. I would like to think that she felt loved and given a good life, since she chose us. My favorite memories, that I will forever hold dear, are how I would shout out “Potato, snack!” up the stairs and she would come running with her little legs, and happy little purr/meow in response, and holding her in my arms every day and singing to her Nirvana’s “Where Did You Sleep Last Night”, which I sadly did during our final goodbye. Until we meet again My Girl…….I love you!
