Obituary For Stanley Gonsalves

On July 20th 2024, the Gonsalves family said goodbye to Stanley. Affectionately nicknamed Stamily and sometimes Stan the man. He had a long pampered life of 10, almost 11 years. We got Stanley after grieving the loss of our other bearded dragon hoping he would fill the void, and he certainly did and then some. He was the sassiest little baby bearded dragon, he would hop up onto his hind legs and hiss like one of the dinosaurs in jurassic park. As he got older, he stayed sassy but grew more into the loveable little man he was meant to be. He would love to run around the house for hours and then plant himself behind a piece of furniture where he would sleep for the night. On many occasions he made us panic and search for lengthy amounts of time because we couldn't find where he decided to take his nap. His favorite place to rest though, was on the couch next to his mom or on her chest cuddling. My favorite memory of Stanley was coming home to his cage full of 21 eggs he had laid. Surprise, Stanley was a girl. Over the years, he's seen a lot of other pets come and go, children grow and move out of the house, and other big life changes, but he remained a constant and that brought peace of mind. The house will seem a lot more empty without our little house cat bearded dragon running around, but he's in peace now. We love you Stanley and we'll miss you always.
