Obituary For Willow Pasqual

Willow had many nicknames: Willamina, Momma's Girl, Sweet Pea, Lady and Peanut to name just a few. She truly was the best girl in the whole wide world, which she was told multiple times per day.

Willow, the tri-colored Puggle with the softest ears, was the sweetest girl. Willow came home to Bristol at 7 weeks old but her mom was able to visit her and her litter every week since she was 6 days old and watching her grow and develop into the best girl was such a blessing to everyone that knew and loved her. Always the alpha, with many dog friends she met from over the years, she was always gentle and kind and just wanted to play, chase and run with them! She lived an active lifestyle every day of her life. Even at 12 years old, people were always shocked of her age because she remained fit and trim and youthful.

Willow has easily gotten over a million kisses in her life from her momma (Susan Pasqual), daddy (Neil Thompson) and family including Grammy and Papa (Terry and Manny Pasqual), and cousins Chloe and Cameron McCue. She brought so much love and laughter to everyone who knew her. From her snaggle teeth that her lip often got stuck on , to doing puppy freak outs (especially after bath time), to simply jumping in her momma's bed to snuggle while burrowing under the blankets to sleep. Willow was so smart. If she wanted you to pet her, she would paw at you and pet you demanding it to be reciprocated! She also knew so many words but her favorites were: ‘are you hungee’ . ‘treat and pup food’, ‘adventure’, ‘go for a ride’, ‘go to Grammy and Papa’s' house, ‘go to see Chole and Cameron’, ‘rabbits’ and ‘wanna go outside’.

Willow loved to go on adventures in her dad's truck where she would take in all the smells especially through Colt State Park and Poppasquash Point while barking at other dogs walking to scare them and their owners while passing by! If Willow wanted a window down, she would paw at it with downward strokes and it would open (by the controls in the front seat, of course), but she believed her little paws rolled them down to stick her face out and let the fresh air hit her. Willow loved searching for rabbit's and her beagle nose never led her down the wrong path where one could be! When she smelled or spotted one, her demeanor instantly changed with her tail wagging faster than the speed of light coupled with a high-pitched bark, there was never a doubt that a rabbit was near. Willow loved any kind of food and had been known for jumping up on the occasional table and stealing a hot dog from an unsuspecting child! The floors never have a crumb on them if Willow was around! She was dubbed as Houdini, an escape artist, as over the years she successfully escaped from her mom's fenced in yard more times than she could count to run and search for rabbits and even landed herself in a ground hog den one sunny summer afternoon.

Willow loved unconditionally and brought love and happiness to everyone who knew her. She loved to jump in her dad's arms and hug him and demanded forehead kisses before climbing off of him and asserted her dominance by humping him then barking at him when he peeled her off of him! Her dad was one of her favorite humans. She had many toys but teddy bears and ripping them to shreds to get the squeaker out in record time was one of her favorite pastimes. She loved sunbathing on the back deck during warm summer days and running free off-leash at Mt. Hope farm with all the smells that the wild had to offer, then taking a long nap in one of the many beds around the house. Willow went almost anywhere she could with her mom, from shopping, the beach, the occasional brewery, many rides to do errands and many friend and family parties, where she was often welcomed. Although Willow knew how to swim, she was not a fan of water or rain and if she heard it raining or noticed the ground was wet, she would run and hide to avoid getting wet at any cost! Each night at dusk, she would do a full surveillance of the perimeter of the yard, sniffing and checking for anything that might be coming out of hiding. She was always the first one to great a visitor at the door and knew when her mom arrived home by the sound of the car in the driveway and garage door opening. Her mom loved seeing her little face peaking through the window waiting for her to walk through the door.

Willow was strong and brave and fiercely independent until the end. She knew how much she was loved. Willow was truly the best girl in the whole wide world and will be missed more than words can describe. She was, without a doubt, her momma's child with 4 legs. The last hope is that she will meet up with Timber and her brother Hedley as well as her extended family already in heaven, and watch over her family until they meet again at the Rainbow Bridge.
