Obituary For Ziggy Mederios

In Loving Memory of Ziggy…

Ziggy, lovingly known as Zig, Ziggles, Zigmond, Zigalicious, Wiggy, and Wiggles, crossed the rainbow bridge on August 12, 2026, at the age of 12½. Born in Monticello, Maine, on February 3, 2014, Ziggy brought light, laughter, and unconditional love into the lives of his devoted pet parents, Keith and Sarah, and his beloved human siblings Karsyn and Vivian and best friend and K-9 brother, Brody.

Ziggy was an English Labrador with a heart as big as his appetite and a spirit bright enough to warm every room he entered. He had a way of making ordinary days feel special simply by being there—tail wagging, eyes shining, ready for love, snacks, adventure, or all three at once. To know Ziggy was to know pure joy in its most loyal form.

True to his joyful nature, Ziggy loved everything. There was not much in this world he disliked; instead, he greeted life with an open heart and a happy soul. Whether he was swimming, relaxing outside in the sun, enjoying his favorite food—everything—or spending time with the people he loved most, Ziggy found happiness in the simple, beautiful moments.

His favorite toy, his treasured Gator, was part of many playful memories and a reminder of the fun-loving personality that made him so unforgettable. Ziggy’s days were filled with the things that brought him joy: sunshine, water, food, family, and the comfort of being close to those who adored him.

Among the family’s most cherished memories are the times spent taking Ziggy to Martha’s Vineyard. Those moments will remain treasured forever—memories of togetherness, adventure, and the kind of love that never fades. Ziggy was not just a pet; he was a family member, a companion, a source of comfort, and a constant reminder of what it means to love without limits.

He leaves behind paw prints on the hearts of Hunter, Hazel, and Brody, along with everyone who was lucky enough to know him. His absence will be deeply felt—in the quiet sunny spots where he loved to rest, by the water where he loved to swim, and in all the little everyday moments that once held his happy presence.

Ziggy’s life was a beautiful gift. Though saying goodbye is heartbreaking, the love he gave remains. It lives on in every memory, every smile through tears, and every story told about the sweet, loyal, sun-loving Labrador who made life brighter simply by being himself.

Run free, sweet Ziggy. May there always be sunshine to rest in, water to swim in, a Gator to play with, and love surrounding you wherever you are! ❤
